PayNudge uses AI to save you time on reading invoices and writing reminders. Here is exactly where, how, and how to avoid it if you prefer.
1. Where we use AI

2. What the AI does not do
- It does not calculate money. Amounts, balances, interest and compensation are inserted by our own deterministic calculator.
- It does not decide when to send. Timing comes from your sequence settings, and sending requires your approval unless you switched on auto-send for that client.
- It does not send letters before action. Those are always drafts for you to review.
- It does not make decisions about you or your clients that have legal effects.
3. Models and providers
We use Claude models from Anthropic, PBC, accessed through Anthropic's commercial API. We may use different Claude models for different tasks, for example a faster model to read invoices and a more capable model to write drafts, and we update models as better versions become available. Anthropic is listed on our Subprocessors page.
4. Your data and training
Under Anthropic's commercial terms, inputs and outputs sent through the API are not used to train its models. Anthropic may keep API data for a limited period for trust and safety purposes under its own policies.
We do not use your invoices, emails, contracts or drafts to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's.
5. Human approval by default
Every AI-written draft is shown to you before sending. By default, nothing is sent until you approve it, and you can edit or skip any draft. On Pro and Studio you may enable auto-send for specific trusted clients; when you do, you accept responsibility for drafts sent without individual review. AI can make mistakes, so please read extracted data and drafts carefully.
6. You stay responsible
AI output is a suggestion. You are responsible for checking it and for what is sent under your name, as described in our Terms of Service.
7. Using PayNudge without AI
- Enter invoice details manually instead of uploading a file for capture.
- Skip the writing-style step, and write or rewrite drafts yourself in the editor before approving them.
- Don't upload contracts for analysis.
